Carbon Cubes

In this project the students at my school will create 80cm x 80cm x 80cm Carbon Cubes. http://www.zerofootprintfoundation.org/schools-universities/the-carbon-cube/

The project is managed by Erin in Grade 6 student under the direction of Monique Martin
These carbon cubes will be collaged with facts on how to reduce our carbon footprint. The cubes will create a visual
image for my friends and the students at my school to understand the size of a kilogram of carbon and how much carbon they are actually
reducing when they follow some simple steps. We want to make three for each classroom or maybe more. We will create a display in front of our school on Friday March 25
to celebrate and encourage people to participate in Earth Hour. The cubes will then be packaged up and sent to Ottawa.
They are going to be displayed and used as big play cubes at the Rideau Canal Festival. The Rideau Canal Festival is an environmentally friendly festival with
zero carbon footprint as its goal. Ms.Martin is involved with the RCF, which created the connection to this project and our school in Saskatoon.
