The Kindergarten -Grade 8 students at Georges Vanier Catholic School in Saskatoon and the Grade 1- 8 students from Vincent Massey school in Ottawa will create 15 bus shelter advertisements and 500 interior bus ads and 30 king Boards (sides of buses), the ads will detail the history of the Rideau Canal a UNESCO world heritage site. The project will be completed in conjunction with the Rideau Canal Festival (a not for profit festival). The students at Georges Vanier School in Saskatoon will do the graphic design work. Text for the ads will be completed by both schools as will be artwork for the backgrounds. The main theme of the project is canoes and each child will create a canoe.
