Saskatchewan Centennial Project

  arts smarts  foundation

Saskatchewan turns 100 in the year 2005.  The students of Georges Vanier will celebrate this
and embrace all that is Saskatchewan through a comprehensive unit using the visual arts linked with other subject areas.
The largest and most visible portions of the unit will be the creation of large murals that will travel to international
venues along with the videotape of dances and a drama production created by Georges Vanier students.
The dances will use accompaniment by Saskatchewan musicians and the panels will use the visual art of Saskatchewan
Artists as inspiration.  The works will be exchanged with Table Cape Primary School in Tasmania in October 2005.
