Murals created by Grade 7 and 8 students at
Georges Vanier School
under the direction of
Artist/Art instructor Monique Martin
A partnership between the
Cameco Corporation and
The Saskatoon Community Foundation
The project will involve the students of Georges Vanier creating murals on the walls surrounding the northeast stairwell. The students will be painting images of Road signs with names of 100 towns and cities. The road signs being the hometowns of the people who have stayed at RMH. The students will calculate the distances and then make highway like signs on the mural. In order to be unbiased about which towns and cities appear we will hold a random draw after compiling a list of all the past visitors to RMH. The names on the road signs will be created using a decal format with sponsorship from Rose Marking in Saskatoon. The walls of the stairwell have been primed and prepared for us by The Painting Contractors Ltd.
