Who are peacemakers? What are some common characteristics of people of peace? These were some of the questions put to the Grade 7/8 class. Through discussion the students developed and analyzed some attributes of peacemakers. A list of Nobel Peace Prize winners was created through research and further discussion. From this list each group chose a winner to research. Using the internet as their primarily resource, students gathered and summarized information. Once collected, the group synthesized and evaluated their information. Finally, the students wrote a short biography, including picture, which was then published on the internet.
