Kindergarten - Gr.8 studies focus on five common themes throughout the Fully Alive Program. Content explored is modified for the appropriate age level.

The five topics are:

Theme 1: Created and Loved by God

The first theme explores how God made us unique and special, and how everyone has talents and special gifts. We are created in the image of God, and He loves and sustains each one of us.

Theme 2: Living in Relationship

This theme explores family relationships and belonging in a group. Human beings are created to live in relationships with each other, and this chapter explains how the bonds of family and friendship are central in our lives, and shape our identity and development.

Theme 3: Created Sexual – Male and Female

This theme explores the miracle of new life. In this theme, sexuality is presented as a gift from God that is intended for life and love.

Theme 4: Growing in Commitment

This theme explores the importance of decision-making and being responsible. It also discusses God’s call to faithfulness, and learning to be committed and trustworthy.

Theme 5: Living in the World

This theme explores our world and the wonderful people in it.

Fully Alive Program - Family Life

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Fully Alive is a Family Life Education Program for Grades 1-8 Catholic School students. It is the result of many years of reflection, discussion and work by Bishops, Catholic educators, Catholic School Trustees, and parents. In Catholic Schools, Family Life Education is closely connected to Religious Education. Fully Alive's approach to human life, relationships, and sexuality is guided by our Catholic faith and by the wisdom accumulated through many years of Christian human experience.

Family Education is intended to supplement the religion program. The program will begin to be taught in your child's classroom in September.

Family books are available for your use to supplement the program at home. Please contact your child's teacher for this resource.

If you have any questions about the Fully Alive Program, please direct them to the classroom teacher or the St. Mark School's administrative team.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Your Partners in Education,
