Common Dismissal Days Common Dismissal
Days are working days for teachers and staff!! On these days, students do not
attend school, but
all staff members are hard at work. Common
Dismissal Days provide teachers, support staff, office staff, administration
and caretaking
staff opportunities to come together as a professional community to
discuss the needs and
activities of In-services on
new practices and procedures for the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Board of
Education are given, and professional
development discussions are held. Extra-curricular meetings are also held on
these days for sports,
event-planning committees, specialized subject areas, multicultural, and so
on, staff representatives are able to meet and discuss ideas and schedules. Lastly, time is given for preparation for the upcoming month. Common Dismissal Days are very important and busy days, even though the students are not in the building!!
