Saskatoon French School Society (Parent Society)

SFS is a parent run school represented by the Saskatoon French School Society. The school exists through a legal agreement between the Society and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. Decisions on all aspects of the school, including budget and curriculum are made jointly by the Society, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and the school staff. Participation by parents is voluntary and can range from assistance with classroom activities to membership on the Society Board of Directors.

 

Parent Participation
Parents have a unique opportunity to influence their child’s education through a wide range of activities and commitment. The parent community is represented by the Saskatoon French School Society. The Society sets the priorities for school decisions including budget and curriculum. The Society also strives to provide a vibrant and accessible educational institution by organizing the following:

  • Transportation
  • Cultural performances to enhance the knowledge of French language and culture
  • Elective noon hour programs when possible i.e. Chess Club, Scrap Booking Club
  • Assistance for school library
  • Monthly hot lunches
  • Family activities
