The next step is to start adding buttons,page banners, external llinks, and text content to your pages. You can download buttons from a free graphics website, or create your own in Fireworks. Either way, you add text to your buttons the same way and the end result is the same. This part of the tutorial will demonstrate how to create and insert buttons and page banners or titles.

Making Buttons in Fireworks

Since you are familiar with fireworks this step should be easy. Start a new fireworks file. Select a transparent background and a canvas size of 120 wide by 40 high. You can choose to make your buttons a different size or even a different shape. For the purpose of this demonstration we will use 120 x 40. Once you have made a button. Enter text for each of your four pages. You will need a button for Home, Family, Hobbies, and Credits

Use fireworks, or a program like Cool Text or Flaming Text to create a title or banner for each of your four pages and save these to your graphics folder on your Z drive as well.

 The next step is to insert your buttons into each page. Open your home page. Place your cursor in the cell of your table where you want to place your Home button. Select Insert then Image from the drop down menu that appears.
 

Find and select the Home button from the image source file graphics on your Z drive. Do this for all your buttons and page titles. When you are done this step you should have four pages saved on your z drive in your pages folder.

The pages are Home, Family, Hobbies and Credits.
