This section will describe and explain how Dreamweaver works. Use the shortcut icon on your desktop to open Dreamweaver.
A Window similar to the one shown below will open. As you experiment with the buttons and menu items in Dreamweaver, note how many of the menu items are similar to those of other programs such as word processing or graphics programs. Roll your mouse cursor over the menu items and tools in the image below to get an introduction to some of Dreamweavers feaures. Then open up Dreamweaver on your computer and play around with it until you become familiar with the location and functions of most of the tools.

STARTING A PAGE

Before you add content to a web page it is a good idea to set up some default settings and give your page a name. Title each page what it is. In this assignment you will make four pages: HOME, HOBBIES, FAMILY, and CREDITS name pages accordingly. Set your properties for Appearance, Links, and Title/Encoding.

Appearance: Set Page font, font size, text color, and if wanted, background color OR background image.
Links:
Set Link font, font size, and colors for links.
Title: Set page title


Select the format tab and then select Page Title and Properties... from the drop down menu that appears

 

Complete the required information in the properties dialogue box that appears. Press OK
