This final section of the course will introduce you to Visual basic a programming language used in C.S. 20. You will use VB to create a simple program. When you have completed your program, you will begin work on your web site. You will use HTML code ( a language used to create web pages) and Macromedia Dreamweaver to create your web pages. Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG (pronounced
wizzy-wig, stands for what you see is what you get) program that
allows you to insert graphics and text into pages as you create them.
A WYSIWYG application is one that enables you to see on the display
screen exactly what will appear when the document is printed. This differs,
for example, from word processors that are incapable of displaying different
fonts and graphics on the display screen even though the formatting
codes have been inserted into the file. WYSIWYG is especially popular
for desktop publishing. Dreamweaver is a good program that
is fun to use for novice web designers, yet it has features necessary for advanced web design. Remember:

The visual basic introduction is divided into two parts. The first two tutorials deal with getting familiar with the program.
