Introduction
to computer applications is one of the three components of Grade
9 General Practical Arts. This 30 hour course introduces students to some
of the fundamentals computers, programming, graphics, and word processing. The underlying objective of the course is to provide students with an understanding of much of the basic software used in Information Processing 10, 20, 30, and Computer science 20 and 30. Additionally to provide students with skills that can be applied to and transferred to other subject areas. The following information can be used as a guide in the presentation of this course. Each of the four sections of the course is presented in order with concepts learned and information gathered in previous sections expanded on and reinforced in later sections. |
