Background In Saskatchewan anyone under 22 years of age may enroll in high school credit courses at no charge to themselves. Saskatoon Catholic Cyber School (SCCS) has created a virtual high school allowing students 24 hour a day, 7 day a week access to proven, top quality high school courses. All courses are based on the Saskatchewan Curriculum and credits are offered and registered through SCCS. The flexibility of the Cyber School lies in removing barriers which in the past have stopped many students from achieving their high school diploma. The SCCS guidance counsellor is well versed in educational plans and is available to assist students in developing a uniquely tailored and individual plan to help them realize their goals. In SCCS, the Saskatoon Catholic School Division has developed a unique system which allows them an opportunity to fullfill their mandate of educating the youth of Saskatchewan, while responding to a growing need in society; that is, access to opportunity.
