Description of Accounts sites |
|
The Accounts category provides an array of news events and recounts in relation to the December 2004 Tsunami disaster. News stories have continued throughout 2005 and are reflected in this area. The news events provide an up-to-date record of what is currently happening in Southeast Asia through the accounts of volunteers and reporters situated in the area. As well, other individuals worldwide have come together to provide comprehensive details of past and current Tsunami related events. Certainly not secondary to the news events are the personal accounts of Tsunami victims that are offered. These accounts include firsthand experiences with the Tsunami as well as aftermath reflections from families who have lost loved ones as well as their homes, schools, and way of living. These accounts offer insight into the personal devastation experienced by hundreds of thousands of people allowing non-affected individuals to reflect on the traumatic events. |
