The
Office of the Treaty Commission (OTC) has developed Treaty Education Kits
from Grade seven to Grade twelve. The Treaty Education committee of the
Saskatoon Catholic Schools have developed kits for Kindergarten to Grade
six to coincide with the Office of the Treaty Commission. These kits will
assist teachers as they incorporate treaty education into their programs.
The material in the kits can be integrated into curriculum between the months
of November to March (see protocol on telling legends). The number of concepts
for each grade level has been kept to a minimum. It is essential to the
concept building process that teachers make an effort to cover the concepts
at their grade level. This is important as the objectives for each grade
level build on knowledge taught in the previous grade. |
