HOW MUCH ENERGY IS IN YOUR FOOD?

THE FOOD THAT WE EAT PROVIDES OUR BODIES WITH THE ENERGY AND NUTRIENTS IT NEEDS TO PERFORM OUR BODILY FUNCTIONS AND TO GIVE US THE ENERGY WE NEED TO DO OUR WORK. PROPER DIET IS ESSENTIAL TO KEEP OUR BODIES FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND TO BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE.

IF WE EAT TOO LITTLE OUR BODY BECOMES DEPRIVED OF ITS ENERGY REQUIREMENTS. SERIOUS MALNUTRITION AND DISEASES OFTEN RESULTS FROM EATING TOO LITTLE. BEING DEPRIVED OF ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS, VITAMINS AND/OR MINERALS WILL SHOW UP SOMEWHERE IN THE BODY WITH SYMPTOMS SUCH AS LOSS OF HAIR, FATIGUE, AND SKIN DISORDERS, TO NAME A FEW.

SIMILARLY, IF WE EAT TOO MUCH OUR BODIES HAVE TO STORE THIS EXCESS ENERGY. OUR BODIES STORE EXCESS ENERGY IN THE FORM OF FAT. EATING TOO MUCH OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME WILL RESULT IN BEING OVERWEIGHT. OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE ARE MORE LIKELY TO DEVELOP DIABETES AND HEART DISEASE.

WE MUST ALL APPRECIATE THE IMPORTANCE OF A WELL BALANCED DIET. ONLY WITH EATING A WELL BALANCED DIET CAN OUR BODIES BE THE BEST AS IS POSSIBLE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO ENJOY THE BEST QUALITY OF LIFE AND WILL KEEP US ACTIVE AND MENTALLY ALERT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.
