  • PARTICIPATE IN A POSITIVE WAY WITH THE CLASSROOM GROUP IN CYBER SPACE
  • HAVE TO STRIVE HARD TO MAKE THIS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL!

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF:

YOU EXPERIENCE ANOTHER STUDENT USING INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE IN CLASSROOM CORRESPONDENCE: CONTACT YOUR ONLINE TEACHER. THIS STUDENT CAN BE EXPECTED TO BE "MUTED" FROM CLASSROOM CONVERSATIONS AND PERHAPS THIS STUDENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CLASS ROSTER.

YOU EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH ANOTHER STUDENT WHO IS NOT COOPERATING IN AN EFFORT TO ACCOMPLISH THE TASK AT HAND: CONTACT YOUR ONLINE TEACHER. YOUR ONLINE TEACHER WILL DISCUSS THIS MATTER WITH THE STUDENT(S) INVOLVED. YOUR ONLINE TEACHER WILL SUGGEST A COURSE OF ACTION.

YOU CANNOT EMAIL YOUR ONLINE TEACHER DUE TO TROUBLE WITH THE TECHNOLOGY AT YOUR HOME SCHOOL: CONTACT THE COMPUTER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT PERSON AT YOUR SCHOOL.

YOU CANNOT EMAIL YOUR ONLINE TEACHER BECAUSE YOU ARE AWAY FROM SCHOOL FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME: NOTIFY YOUR ONLINE TEACHER IN ADVANCE ABOUT YOUR ABSENCE AND THE DURATION OF THE ABSENCE. IF YOU DID NOT DO THIS, THEN USE THE REGULAR TELEPHONE OR FAX TO CONTACT YOUR ONLINE TEACHER.

YOU HAVE FALLEN BEHIND THE MAJORITY OF THE CLASS: CONTACT YOUR ONLINE TEACHER AND DEVELOP A WORKABLE PLAN TO MEET DEADLINES. SOMETIMES DUE DATES CAN BE ADJUSTED. AT OTHER TIMES THE DUE DATES ARE NOT FLEXIBLE. A DISCUSSION WITH YOUR ONLINE TEACHER WILL HELP YOU TO DETERMINE THE BEST WAY TO GET BACK ON TRACK.

THE ONLINE TEACHER WILL REQUIRE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM YOUR SCHOOL OF YOUR OFFICIAL TERMINATION FROM THE PROGRAM.

NOTE: THE LAST DATE TO DROP THIS CLASS IS 5 DAYS AFTER YOUR SCHOOL RECEIVES YOUR SECOND REPORTING TERM MARK. AFTER THIS DATE, A MARK WILL DEFINITELY BE SENT TO SASKATCHEWAN LEARNING AS A RECORD OF YOU TAKING THIS CLASS. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE DROPPING PROCESS, YOU WILL RECEIVE A FAILING MARK ON YOUR MARK TRANSCRIPTS ISSUED BY SASKATCHEWAN LEARNING.
