Objectives:
Description: This unit will cover some of the basics of biology. In the first module you will define biology and then begin making connections between the study of biology and everyday life. In the second module you will master the microscope by beginning with the basics of care and handling and advancing to estimating the size of cells. Finally, in the third module, you will explore scientific theory along with a few important biological theories. Evaluation: This unit will be worth 15% of your mark in this course. The assignments to be submitted for evaluation will be outlined in each of the module overviews. Directions: Begin this Unit by clicking on the Module 1 button in the box at the top of the page.
