Welcome to Biology 20. We hope that you will find this site useful. This course follows the Saskatchewan Learning curriculum and is intended to be used as a resource for both teachers and students. The course has been divided into four units; each unit is divided into several modules, and each module is divided into several lessons.

There are a number of assignments which are to be submitted for evaluation. There are also a number of student activities, which are intended for student practice and skill development.

Course Overview:

The study of biology should enable you to understand life better, whether it is your own life or the various life forms which surround us and influence us every minute of each and every day. Unit 1 begins with an examination of the science of biology and the correct use of the microscope, an essential tool in biology. Unit 2 investigates ecosystems and populations. Unit 3 explores many forms of life, from the tiniest single-celled organisms to complex multicellular organisms. Finally, Unit 4 looks at agricultural botany specific to Saskatchewan.
