Grade Sheets


Grade sheets are more specific to an assignment and less general. Some people do not like rubrics but know it is still necessary to let the students know how their assignments will be marked. So this is the answer. Here are some examples of grade sheets (thanks to Ken)
Poetry / Art Research Grading Sheet (181)

Background information: (½ page each)
2 visual artists … (5 marks x 2 artists) /10
2 poets (5 marks x 2 poets) /10

Discussion of four works: (2–3 pgs for this section)
Your interpretation of the works (5 marks x 4) /20
Your personal reaction to the works (5 marks x4) /20
How is Canada portrayed in each? (5 marks x 4) /20

Comparison of the two artists and their art. (1 page) /10
Comparison of the two poets and their poems. (1 page) /10

Mechanics (1/2 mark off for each mechanical error) /12

Note: the assignment is worth 65 marks on the student grade sheet, so this mark will be halved.
