Pope John Paul II School – Home of the Saints

Pope John Paul II School is located on the east side of the city of Saskatoon.  The Saskatoon Catholic School Division created this school community in 2005 by combining the populations of St. James School and St. Thomas School

The school has a full range of programs for students K-8 of all abilities and backgrounds.  Pope John Paul II School staff is committed to providing quality education and spiritual growth opportunities for all children.

Our parish leadership is through St. Philip Neri Church.  Some students are members of the Holy Spirit Church community.  The strong relationship between the parishes and the schools in Saskatoon Catholic School Division is a y to the success of our schools.

Our school sports team name is called the Pope John Paul II Saints, as our student body is made up of students from the schools that had been named after two saints.  Our logo and letterhead reflect the same theme of togetherness and unity.

Our house leagues are built on the concept of cooperative sports and participation.  The four house team names are derived from symbolism in the Bible to describe God's love and power to create.  They are called Fire, Water, Wind and Rock.

Pope John Paul II School is truly a great place to grow.
