Celebrating 100 years of Catholic faith
Ordinary people doing extraordinary things . . .
The Catholic Centennial Celebration was held at Saskatoon's Centennial Auditorium (now TCU Place) on October 16, 2005. Barb Wotherspoon, a history teacher at E.D. Feehan Catholic High School in Saskatoon, wrote a series of historical narratives for this landmark event, describing important and interesting milestones in the history of Saskatoon's Catholic community. The stories, brought to life through a pantomime featuring hundreds of students and community members in the cast, are now featured on this page. "I don't pretend that all my facts are exactly correct," Barb notes, "but the stories capture the spirit of the people involved. I've kept a saying of Megan McKenna's in mind throughout the process: 'All stories are true; and some of them really happened.' "
